It was once remarked that "the Englishman takes his pleasures sadly". What a dastardly thing to say. But there is doubtless some truth to the seriousness an Englishman injects into his play. Working in interactive media is serious play. Kicking and batting creative ideas around calls for close attention, elaborate practice, keen insight and ingenuity.

At his best every man is something of an artist, and becomes so absorbed in his labour that he derives a player's joy from it. Digital design and interactive treatment opens avenues for self expression and drawing on my technical knowledge; nothing brings me greater pleasure than seeing creative ideas come to life.
