In the United Kingdom, Domestos has provided families protection from harmful germs for 70 years and is now clearly established as the first name in home hygiene. In the 1950s Domestos made a stand on health education in Britain by introducing public awareness campaings helping to teach people about the dangers of germs.
I developed a flash minigame in Actionscript 2.0 intended to educate younger site visitors about the millions of unseen micro-organisms which lurk unseen in every household. Kids Zone encourages young players to explore the rooms of a family home and identify 3 germ hotspots for each area. Following on from the success of Kids Zone, Domestos commisioned a more comprehensive hygiene hotspots learning tool for the grownups.
Brand Republic (September 2008)The activity achieved the highest coupon redemption rate in the Household Cleaning Category in recent years, surpassing figures for 2007 and 2008. More than 20,000 people visited the Domestos brand site during the campaign period.
